Logo Self-Assessment

1. Name of your company, a short paragraph describing what your company manufactures/sells and the target audience for the product.
I am the CEO of a new company, Lunar Cars. This company manufactures non-gasoline automobiles and are perfect for young adults that are concerned about the environment. These cars run off solar sun power and grease. All cars sold are used cars in tip top condition, we sell used cars to save supplies and apply the importance of recycling in our daily lives. Lunar cars are above the ordinary car, they are the car of the future. You will have the car of your dreams and feel good about helping the environment at the same time.

2. Review the processes that Jacob Cass went through in designing his logo and Logo Design Secrets (and any other links that you found especially helpful). What parts of these processes did you use in your work. Please explain and be specific.
I used Jacob Cass’s information to help me assess my logo and make sure I had all of the elements I needed. Some of the secrets I found useful to check was the if the logo was describable, memorable, effective without color, and effective when just an inch in size. These are Cass’s 5 ‘musts’ for a logo design and they helped me make sure my logo was finished.

3. Overall, what three important concepts have you learned about logo design? Explain why they are important to your future work?
By creating my own logo design I learned about the concepts of striving to be different, simple is sometimes better, and starting out right. All three of these concepts are very important for future work because they will ultimately help develop the outcome of my future final products. Using these concepts when designing help make sure your of the road to success.

4. Review the criteria and the process of designing a logo, please rate your final logo design, 1-4 (4 is the highest). Please explain why your work deserves the rating.
I believe my design deserves a 3. My design’s final outcome was a success, but there are a few minor flaws. The concept of my design were a little broad, because of that I wasn’t quite sure about the name of my company. Other than the concept of the design I believe I did successfully create a logo that will work for a company.
